Jonny's Tinting Service

Terms

The ground rules.

Plain-English terms for booking with Jonny's Tinting Service. By booking an appointment or paying a deposit, you're agreeing to these. Last updated September 2026.

Booking & deposits

  • A time slot is held only once the deposit is paid — until then it's first come, first served.
  • Deposits are non-refundable if you cancel. We turn other customers away to hold your slot.
  • Rescheduling is free — use the link in your confirmation email or call us, and your deposit moves with you to the new time.
  • No-shows forfeit the deposit.
  • Your deposit is applied in full to your final bill.

Estimates & final pricing

The price shown when you book is an estimate based on what you told us about the vehicle and the work. The final number is confirmed in person once we see the car — things like aftermarket glass, old film that fights removal, or a different trim than expected can change it. We'll always tell you before doing work beyond the estimate. Promo codes apply to the estimated total and can't be combined unless we say otherwise.

Your vehicle

  • Tell us about anything unusual before we start: aftermarket glass, existing damage, aging defrosters, loose trim.
  • We photograph and note pre-existing damage when the car comes in.
  • Old-tint removal on aged or damaged defroster lines carries inherent risk — we take every precaution, but brittle defroster grids can be damaged during any removal, and we can't guarantee against it on aged film.
  • Leave the vehicle reasonably clean inside; heavy cleanup may be billed.

Tint & the law

Rhode Island law limits how dark the windshield and front windows can be. We'll tell you when a shade you pick is darker than the law allows — the choice, and the legal responsibility for it, stays with you. Out-of-state vehicles are subject to their home state's rules.

Warranty

Film carries the manufacturer's warranty against bubbling, peeling, and discoloration (varies by film line — ask us for specifics on yours). Our workmanship is covered too: if something's wrong with the install, bring it back and we'll make it right. The warranty doesn't cover damage from misuse, accidents, or tampering, and curing artifacts (light haze, small water pockets in the first weeks) are normal, not defects.

Mobile service

Mobile jobs need a clean, enclosed workspace (a garage) with working power. If the space isn't workable when we arrive, we may need to reschedule — the travel fee covers the trip either way. Travel fees are quoted by city when you book.

Communications

Booking with an email or phone number means we'll use them for the booking itself: confirmations, reminders, aftercare notes, and a review request after the job. That's it — no marketing blasts. Every email has an unsubscribe option, and how we handle your data is covered in our [privacy policy](/privacy).

Liability

Our liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the job in question. We're not liable for indirect or consequential damages (lost time, rentals, diminished value), except where the law says that limit can't apply.

The legal frame

These terms are governed by Rhode Island law. If any part of them turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. We may update these terms; material changes get a new date at the top of this page. Continuing to book after a change means you accept it.
