Booking & deposits
Does the deposit lock in my time slot?
Yes. Once your deposit goes through, the slot is yours — your appointment is confirmed. We’ll email you a reminder before the day.
Is the deposit refundable?
Deposits are non-refundable if you cancel — we hold the slot for you and turn other customers away, so the deposit covers that. The good news: if you reschedule instead of canceling, your deposit moves with you to the new appointment for free, and it always comes off your final bill.
What if I need to reschedule?
No problem — use the “Reschedule” link in your confirmation email (or call us) and pick a new open time. Your deposit moves with you, no extra charge. Rescheduling is the way to go if anything changes — canceling forfeits the deposit.
How do I pay the balance?
Balance is paid in person at pickup — cash, Venmo, or card. The online deposit is the only payment that goes through Stripe; we settle the rest when you grab your keys. Heads-up: card payments at pickup add a small convenience fee that covers the card-processing cost — cash or Venmo skips it.
Window tint
How long does a tint job take?
Most cars are in and out in 1 – 2 hours. Vans, SUVs, big rear glass, and ceramic films take a bit longer. The exact time depends on the coverage you pick; the booking form shows the estimated duration when you choose.
What VLT (darkness) is legal in Rhode Island?
RI law: 70% VLT minimum on front side windows and on the windshield (or AS-1 line for the windshield strip). Rear side windows and rear windshield can be as dark as you want. We’ll always tell you what’s legal for your specific car before we start.
What’s the difference between Standard, Ceramic, and Chameleon film?
Standard is a quality dye + carbon film — looks great and rejects heat. Ceramic uses ceramic particles for noticeably more heat rejection (huge difference in summer) and better long-term color stability. Blue / Sunset Chameleon are color-shifting films that change tint depending on the angle of the sun — a premium look, still legally compliant where applicable.
How long until I can roll my windows down?
Keep them up for 3 – 5 days while the film cures. In summer it’s closer to 3, in winter closer to 5. You’ll get a full aftercare email after the job.
Will the tint bubble or fade?
Not with us. Tiny moisture pockets in the first week are normal (they evaporate as the film cures). Real bubbles or fading would be a defect — covered by our warranty.
Warranty?
Lifetime warranty on Standard and Ceramic films against bubbling, peeling, cracking, and fading — as long as you own the vehicle. Chameleon films come with a 5-year warranty against the same defects.
Mobile service
Do you come to me?
Yes — in the Central Falls and surrounding areas. You can pick Mobile in the booking form and tell us your city. If we already service it, you’ll see the travel fee right there. If not, drop us a request and Jonny will get back to you with a custom quote.
What do you need on site?
A garage or covered space with power and good light. Tint doesn’t cure cleanly outdoors with dust and wind. If you’re missing a garage, an in-shop appointment is the better call.
Other services
Do you do vinyl wraps and PPF?
Yes — full color-change wraps, partial wraps, accent wraps, and paint protection film (PPF) on front ends, full hoods, or the whole car. Wraps and PPF are quoted per vehicle; start a quote from the homepage and we’ll get back to you with a number.
Commercial / fleet?
We do commercial storefront tinting, building glass, and fleet branding (truck wraps, decals). Drop us a quote request with your business name and we’ll come out for a measure.
Boats and heavy equipment?
Yep — boat windows, RV windows, and tractor / loader cabs. Same quote flow as wraps.
Aftercare
How do I clean my tinted windows?
Wait at least a week after install. Then: any ammonia-free glass cleaner, a clean microfiber. Avoid hard scraping inside the glass — film lives on the interior side.
Will tint affect my defroster?
No. Our film is cut around the defrost lines and bonds without interfering. Defrosters work normally once the film is fully cured.
